Offset printing pallet, also known as “flat plate printing“, is a printing method where the graphic pallet information on the printing plate is transferred and transported to the substrate through a nonstop pallet. It is precisely because of the existence of the printing pallet that this printing and packaging method has gained fame.
Logistics pallet play an irreplaceable role in the transportation of printing and packaging. For example, packing pallet can effectively assist in the transmission of paper, compensate for the unevenness of the substrate surface, and ensure that the paper is fully and evenly transferred; they can also reduce the ink penetration from the printing plate to the substrate, preventing printing blurriness and other problems.
The entire process of offset pallet printing pallet mainly consists of the following three stages:
I. Pre-press preparation
1. Document design and processing: Perform graphic layout and color management according to printing pallet requirements.
2. Printing plate making: Produce and output CTP plates, ensuring accurate ink-receptive areas (for ink) and water-receptive areas (for water) of the graphics pallet.
3. Proofreading and proofing: Conduct a trial print pallet after confirming the accuracy of colors, registration, and content.
II. Printing Process
1. Installation on the machine: Install the CPT version on the printing pallet machine.
2. Wetting treatment: The printing plate first passes through the wetting system. The non-image areas adsorb water films to prevent ink adhesion.
3. Ink application: The ink is only adsorbed by the image areas (because oil and water repel and do not mix).
4. Indirect transfer with nonstop pallet.
The ink transfers from the printing plate → onto the rubber blanket cylinder → and then is pressed onto the paper or other substrates.
5. Multi-color registration (if needed): Through multiple printing pallet nits, KCMY (or special color sequences can be adjusted) or spot colors are superimposed successively.
With the development of society and technological progress, especially the impact of digital printing pallet and the decline in traditional publishing demand, as well as the current society’s pursuit of individualized and niche demands, offset printing packaging pallet have faced significant challenges.
However, the three advantages of continuous nonstop pallet in offset pallet printing pallet, namely large-scale production, high precision, and stability, still enable them to occupy a majority share in the current market and maintain a stable position.
